Help SEVN Raise Money for the Veterinary Care Foundation

As you know by now, the veterinary care experts at Southeast Veterinary Neurology are dedicated to the well-being of pets around the country.  The Veterinary Care Foundation is a foundation created for the specific purpose of helping veterinary practices fund the discounted and no-charge care they offer to hardship cases and rescue groups.

When a loved one is sick, nobody wants to make decisions based on money. That is the position that Grace and her family found themselves in when their cat, Moses, developed a life-threatening illness. Thanks to the generous support from the people who donate to the Veterinary Care Foundation, Moses was successfully treated and returned to his loving family.

Veterinary Care Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable foundation. Its mission is to help veterinary practices fund the care of its discounted and no-charge cases. Some patients require the care of a veterinary neurologist, which often involves expensive surgeries and imaging. “We are deeply grateful to our clients who have made donations to VCF and, through it, to its member practices,” says Dr. Michael Wong, Veterinary Neurologist at SEVN.

“With VCF’s support, we are able to save the lives of pets whose owners might otherwise be forced by circumstances to make the heartbreaking decision to put their beloved animals to sleep. Thanks to the generosity of its donors, we are able to treat these critically ill patients and send them home to live happy, loving lives. Of course, not every case is life-threatening. Many conditions that affect the brain and spinal cord and need the skills of a veterinary neurologist leave the animal unable to walk, see or hear. The financial support received by practices from the VCF means that function can be restored in many cases”

One of the things that sets VCF apart from other charitable foundations is that a full 100% of every donation goes directly to veterinary practices to finance animal care. All of the charity’s operating expenses are financed through membership fees paid by the individual veterinary practices. Additionally, your donation to VCF is tax-deductible.

Southeast Veterinary Neurology is the leading neurology, neurosurgery and advanced imaging facility for animals in South Florida.
