Florida-based board-certified veterinary neurologist specializing in diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles set to contribute to “Seizures: So Many Drugs – What to Choose and When” symposium.

Boynton Beach, FL – November 16, 2017 – The fifth annual Gulf-Atlantic Veterinary Conference returns to the Boca Raton Resort and Club – A Waldorf Astoria Resort in Boca Raton, Florida from November 30 to December 3, being billed as an exclusive setting paired with a world-class scientific program designed to enrich every member of an attending veterinary care team. Proudly representing Southeast Veterinary Neurology, staffed by South Florida’s only team of veterinary specialists that are board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, veterinary neurologist Dr. Michael Wong is set to speak at this year’s GAVC on December 1, when he will participate in the “Seizures: So Many Drugs – What to Choose and When” symposium.

This segment of the world-class veterinary conference will be held in the Grand Ballroom Salon B between 8:00 AM and 8:50 PM at the luxuriously-appointed and iconic Boca Raton Resort and Club.

Attendees of this year’s Gulf-Atlantic Veterinary Conference will be treated to an exceptional educational program, hands-on “wet labs” and workshops, abundant networking opportunities, social activities and insight with regard to the latest in veterinary products and technology – all amidst the backdrop of the resort and club’s breathtakingly magical holiday ambiance. Further, the Conference will feature 45 distinguished presenters and 260 total lecture hours.

“The fact that my team and I have helped over 20,000 four-legged companions regain their ability to walk since my clinic’s inception in 2010 is the primary reason I’m so proud to be speaking at this year’s Gulf-Atlantic Veterinary Conference,” states Dr. Wong. “As neurological veterinary specialists with expertise in conditions affecting the brain and spinal cord, the staff at Southeast Veterinary Neurology routinely handle cases involving seizures in cats and dogs, intervertebral disc disease (IVDD, or ‘slipped discs’), encephalitis, vestibular disease, atlantoaxial instability and more; this makes our presence at the Conference the ideal fit.”

Each of the neurologists at Southeast Veterinary Neurology are required to perform years of additional training to become seasoned experts in veterinary neurosurgery and neurology, all eventually gaining the ability to perform in-house CT scans, high-field MRIs, CSF analysis, electrodiagnosis and advanced surgical techniques to diagnose and treat an animal’s neurological conditions. What’s more, with an on-premises MRI machine and two board-certified neurologists on staff, the clinic offers peace of mind for the parents of their beloved pets, all of whom can expect overtly hospitable, humane service in an environment geared toward keeping everyone in the family as comfortable as possible.
